About us

Markus and Delia lived in Pangnirtung, Nunavut, for many years.

Pangnirtung is located on Baffin Island, just below the Arctic Circle. Its Inuktitut name Panniqtuuq means the place for bull caribou. Next to Pangnirtung is the Auyuittuq National Park, the land that never melts, with rugged 2000 meter peaks and the massive Penny Ice Cap. Not that there's any caribou hanging around Pang anymore. And the park is melting quite fast, too. But that's not what this site is about. This website is our channel for publishing some of the interesting aspects of arctic life but is not strictly tied to that. There is a heavy emphasis on the outdoors: skiing, climbing, fishing, skidooing, boating and hiking. The site will also be under constant development since it's a playground for an enthusiastic Web developer. Enjoy.
